Liverpool legend Kenny Dalglish will
fly to Spain to present Barcelona striker Luis Suarez with his Golden
Shoe award next Wednesday, according to reports.
Suarez, 27, is to share the award - handed to the leading scorer in Europe's top divisions - with Real Madrid's Cristiano Ronaldo after both players hit 31 goals last season. The striker scored his goals in the Premier League with Liverpool before completing a £75 million move to Barcelona on July 16. Dalglish, who won eight league titles and three European Cups as player and then manager at Liverpool between 1977 and 1991, returned for a 16-month second spell as boss in January 2011, signing Suarez from Ajax shortly after his reappointment. |
