Arsenal's Theo Walcott unlikely to face United, Danny Welbeck a doubt

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has suggested Theo Walcott will miss Saturday's clash against Manchester United, while Danny Welbeck faces a fitness test on Friday ahead of the game.

The Gunners welcome United to the Emirates Stadium in need of a positive result given their inconsistent start to the season that sees them trail Premier League leaders Chelsea by 12 points after just 11 games.

Wenger had originally expected to be able to rely on the services of Walcott, who has made two appearances off the bench since returning from a nine-month spell out with a cruciate knee ligament injury.
